About Us:
A parish /school dream became a reality in September 2011 with the opening of the St. Catherine of Siena Preschool. The preschool opened with 24 students and has more than doubled in size! Our director, five teachers and one aide create a caring learning environment where students learn through play. We welcome children 2.9 years-5 for preschool and pre K programs; we offer preschool, school day and full time schedules.
With over 60 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, our seasoned staff members are passionate about laying the foundation for lifelong learning. They understand the unique needs of young children and are committed to inspiring a love for learning that extends far beyond the preschool years.
Our Preschool Programs:
At SCS Preschool, we believe in providing a well-rounded educational experience that encompasses various subjects and activities. From science and math to English language arts, art, dramatic play, music, Spanish, religion, and beyond, our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning in every child.
One of the highlights of our program is our emphasis on outdoor education. Our preschoolers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature as they explore our seasonal garden and outdoor areas. Through hands-on experiences, they learn about the world around them, developing a deep appreciation for the environment.
As our students progress through our Pre-K program, they not only gain the academic skills needed for kindergarten but also develop socially and emotionally. Our dedicated teachers, preschool and Pre-K classrooms create a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow into confident individuals.
